Maybe it's just that the server is down, or maybe it's not diverting to the start page. You could choose to open Firefox with You must login or register to view this content. - or type about:config into the Address Bar, then type 'homepage' into the filter field and look for browser.startup.homepage. Right-click on it and choose 'Reset'. See if that restores the default start page.

If you suspect something fishy is going on, perhaps scan your computer with your arsenal anti-malware programs.

I personally think scanning will most likely solve your problem as I have seen other cases like this and all they did was scan and found 1+ trojans and once they got rid of it everything was fine.

I hope this helps. Smile

Maybe VIPRE, or Avira AntiVir. You could try these, but I am not sure if they are the best or not, but they work excellent for me.

Also I had another I use to use and I found it the best I have ever used but I forget the name of it, anyways if I remember I will let you know.

Well just follow the steps I gave you and do the scan and see if you have any trojans and if so remove them. If that does not work then let me know and I will try to help you out more.
