(I'm terribly sorry if this thread looks/is complete poo, this is the first time i've wrote a tutorial!)
Now i've had a look at some of the stickies at the top.
and a lot of them suggest torrents etc, for movie downloads.
Well i shall suggest a different approach.
USENET!
Now this isnt a FREE approach, which may put some of you off, on average it costs £10 a month to subscribe to a usenet provider.
but the amount of content available and the speeds you can achieve. its MORE than worth it. (700kbs+)
USENET started off in 1979 as a information/news link between computers in a university.U
Today, it's an absolute goldmine of binarys, and articles, just ripe for the picking!
Now on average, downloading a torrent can be a pain, depending on the seeders, and the seeders/leechers ratio etc.
and the whole process is limited to the upload speed of the person your downloading from.
Well USENET is a different story, basically, its a huge network of various servers, of which articles are stored, and attached to these articles are binarys (movies, games, mp3's etc)
Now before the invention of the file format NZB, going through USENET to find all your binaries, and piece them together, was a nightmare.
BUT!!!
I shall now explain how to use these NZB files, to download your movies at blazing fast speeds! and complete ease!
What you need!!
- A subscription to a usenet provider (i use astraweb, cost's roughly £10($15) for unlimited DSL speed)
- A USENET content downloader (i recommend Grabit, for ease of use)
- Quickpar (this can verify your files use the SFV files included in the downloads, and can repair broken downloads using PAR/PAR2 files)
Now this is all you need to get started!
So go to
You must login or register to view this content. and sign up there for the unlimited DSL package.
Next go to
You must login or register to view this content. and download Grabit! and install with default settings.
Now go to
You must login or register to view this content. and download Quickpar and install, when this has finished installing, open it up, and press options at the bottom
under the 'Integration' section tick these three boxes;

Associate with PAR2 files
Associate with PAR files
Associate with SFV/MD5 files
The last one isn't really important for what were doing.
Now to keep your download folders happy and clean, Under the file deletion heading in the same options window, tick;

Delete damaged files after repair
delete par2 files after repair
Now for some security if you wish, tick Send files to recycle bin
basically instead of deleting the Par/damaged files, it'll send them to the bin, so you can grab them back later if needs be.
now click ok, and you can exit Quickpar for now.
Now Assuming you've signed upto a provider, and installed Grabit! lets get onto the next step.
Open Grabit!
you'll be met by a wizard window, close this, it's pants!
now your at the main screen of Grabit! look to left hand side, it should say this

My Grabit
Default Server
right click default server and click Server Properties.
now this is where you enter your astraweb accounts details, so go to the astraweb site, and log into the members area.
Here you should be met with a simple page, with some address's, port numbers, your username and password etc.
now pick the server which relates to you most, General, US, European. they all have the same content on them, just the closest ones will give max speed.
now at this point, i recommend, using the SSL server address, not the standard one, this provides you with extra security and encrypted connections to USENET, not even your ISP can see what your downloading.

so pick say "ssl-eu.astraweb.com"
now go back to grabit and insert "ssl-eu.astraweb.com" into the hostname
leave the port number for a second, it'll change automatically in a minute.
now put in your username and password you use to log into astraweb.
and now tick "Encrypted server connection (SSL)" your port number should now have changed to 563.

leave server timeout at 1:30
set retries on error, to whatever you desire (mines 3)
maximum allowed connections, select 8 connections
now i know astraweb allows 20 connections, but 20 is to much, it ends up flooding your bandwidth with crap, and gives you no speed increase.
now click ok
now right click on your newly editted server and press

"Refresh Grouplist"
and ONLY that!
dont update the groups or anything like that.
theres no need to.
but you DO have to Refresh the list, but only once.
Now thats your software, and connection setup, we'll find some NZB's
you can find many just by googling "NZB sites" "NZB indexes" etc.
but the ones i recommend are
You must login or register to view this content.
You must login or register to view this content.
there user friendly, and have great content.
now search/browse for whatever content you want, and download the NZB for that title, all download links are very obvious on the websites.
now you've found your NZB, double click it, and it'll open in grabit.
now watch the amazing speed that it comes down at!
on average i get between 700-1000kbs per download
If you get stuck, or need help! reply/PM and i'll help you out
*ALSO*
If grabit throws up any connection errors, simply close it, click save batch and reload.
