(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); So basically my Norton 360 gold runs out in about 6 days so I'm looking for a new Security Suite for my PC. I need one that does everything, ie On-line security, and off-line (malware, virus, and other such things). So I would love your opinions on which you currently use the best. Money is not a problem.

tl;dr I need a new Security Suite.

Wait...what?
My favourite all-round PC suite for computer protection is Kaspersky Internet Security 2010.

I have loved Kaspersky since the day my Norton ran out and my friend persuaded me to go buy it. I bought it, and I haven't looked back.

I've been using it for 5 years straight now, and I only got a virus once, and that was when I paused the security to install a program. As soon as I started it back up, it's round the clock scanning picked it up immediately. It blocked all connections to the server the virus was running from and asked me what I wanted to do with it (Quarintine etc.).

Compared to the other PC security suites that I've tried, Kaspersky Internet Security 2010 comes out top for me. No slow running PC, really fast scans, impenetrable firewall, amazing looking UI, good value - and best of all, it works.

I know I'm singing its praises, and that I may sound like some sort of employee, but believe me when I say what I've said above doesn't begin to describe the program.

The latest is the greatest I guess.

I'm upgrading mine at the end of next month, so yeah...

I am not going to lie, before I knew any better I did use Norton 360.

I used it like you would any other anti-virus, and it just ran too slow, never gave me full protection and I felt that it was pretty annoying.

The program itself let me download, install and run a rouge anti-virus, and I couldn't uninstall the rouge anti-virus. I ran several full scans and it still never came up, and after 10 tried Norton found the program and removed it, but I think that isn't fast enough.

If it was any good, it would have seen that it was a threat before I installed it. If not, it should have recognised it trying to get through the firewall.

My conclusion was that if a program isn't doing the job it's supposed to, I'm wasting money.

That is my reasoning for not adoring Norton, however I'm sure some people will have good experiences.

I think that the difference is that although there are regular complaints with Norton, programs like Kaspersky rarely get any negative criticism.

I wasn't saying that it doesn't find them, but I'm saying with my personal experience it didn't impress me.

One virus is all it takes to mess your PC up, and that could have been one of those viruses. Thankfully it wasn't and it got removed after a week of scanning daily, but I can't afford to run the risk of getting a virus on my PC.

I've had bad experiences with Norton 360. I've used Kaspersky for a year now and no problems.
