PC DO NOT GET A MAC

If you read "Story of a Gamer" you would know my Mac went out after 3 months all I did was browser web play some games and edit videos. Dont get a Mac i suggest a Asus if you are looking to spend 2k$ the Asus G73 or G73j

I hate to say it, but with your situation, a PC would be better. There are way more options for PC's to record gaming, and they are far cheaper.

Well Mac Is A Beast For Editing But If Your Going To Be Using A HD PVR For Recording You Have To Get A Program That Will Be Compatible With Your OS For Recording The Video, Whereas Windows PC Are Extremely Universal Most Computer Product Were Designed For Windows And Apps So If You Get A Windows Machine The Software For The CC Will Work No Problem. Its Down To Personal Preference Really.

Your Question Should Be "What Do I Really Want Out Of My Machine?"

First if your able to get a mac get it !!!!!!

Then run bootcamp on mac so you can run windows aswell :0

i wrote in caps so you will see it im have a p.c but you can run bootcamp on os x to run windows

I've been using macs for personal use for nearly 10 years now and I love it. But that's because I really only use it for web browsing and downloading movies, and the fact that 4 years on it's practically still as fast now as it was new.
However, I can't count the number of times I've been disappointed looking for some form software for mac and only finding microsoft downloads which does get extremely depressing.
For what you want a PC would definitely be better. I just don't think Macs are worth the money unless you use their editing software professionally.

Oh and to all the people worrying about the Mac fan boys, hasn't really happened has it :p I always hear people giving out about them but I never see any of them :confused:

No offense to you, but this makes me angry. Someone recording in SD, and rendering in HD resolution = NO.

It makes your videos look smashed and/or stretched.

Yeah but then you have to spend and extra grand :rolleyes: just to get the extra ram needed to run windows on bootcamp well, and you also have to have enough ram to run those ram intensive programs well...on a virtual machine which is pretty much dumb.

MAC for simplicity, PC (windows) for compatibility! Just my 2 pennies

PCs are wayyy better, you can do so much more, mac just straight up sucks
