So whenever I plug in my hard drive, it says 512 GB available, and I used up like 83 GB, when I click on my hard drive, none of the files pop up?

Don't worry, I accidentally disabled WD Smartware therefore stopping my HDD from loading on Start-up, thanks for those who answered

ive had the same problem about a month ago all my files had gone and my hard drive said 100% free i used up about 70%
i restarted my computer but i guess that you have already done that

one more way i think could work is
shut down computer
when it says starting windows hold down the power button for 5-7 seconds and turn it back on
now you should get options like
run windows in safe mode
run windows in safe mode with networking
run windows in safe mode with commmand
hit windows in safe mode with networking when it loaded up go to my computer and have a look at your hard drive space
now hopefully it should have all your stuff there
if your stuff isnt there a virus has deleted it or your friend that was last on it has deleted the stuff :p
to get rid of safe mode is to shut it down again and start it up
normally
