It has windows vista and out of the 1gb of RAM my PC came with only 446mb work now after 3 years so with vista do i need 4gb of ram to multitask?

I mean like I usually have a few programs that when i go to the task manager the size is like 25,000 so i need something to handle that but even then with 446 mb of RAM its says 75% of memory is being used so 4gb will be great right?

and what kind should i get? nothing too expensive please if its like 100 every 2 sticks of ram then im just gonna wait to get a laptop...

In all honesty i would just go for a new laptop. Im sure the processor could use an upgrade and not just the ram.

like SEEBEE said, get a new computer because one with just 446 mb of ram, well that is less than half a gb....mine came with 4gb of ram and 450 gb of memory. its a HP Pavilion dv7, its a great computer and i would recomend looking into one like this.

try overclocking it (check google) temporary if u need it alot
