If you want to do multimedia I would use a imac just like people said there. But I bet you could find something that will do for 1000$ easily. I would buy an IMB thinkpad but it is me.

iMac for college, Pc for gaming/editing. To use Windows programs on iMac you need a parallel and a Windows disk. I dont do anything that deals with hackingtosh cause they are over rated and useless to me.
