Post: How to Kick a User from Router/Connection?

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hey guys,so I have this cousin that ALWAYS torrents on his computer. I mean ALWAYS. Whenever e comes home, he'll start torrenting and BAM, my internet speeds plummet.

This affects me on PS3 as well, I mean, I would be on a 4 bar connection, then he'll come back and I'll be lagging on a 1 bar connection.

I was wondering of a way to "kick" him from the router until he stops. He is connected through DHCP, using the router's wifi.

Thanks!

Even if you do block the Mac Address, you can still change it via etherchange or TMAC.

Also, look up subdomains and maybe packet sniff the program and add all the incoming connections from the program onto IP tables or services blocking which is usually located in your HTTP configuration page. If you want to use IP tables, you'd have to enable Modem GUI though.

1. Password on router.
2. Turn off UPnP in router
3. Make sure there is no manual port forward entry to his computer for the torrent program he is using.

**** my Toaster !~!
you could always go to your routers settings and see if it supports QOS and then make you ps3 highest priority and his computer/laptop the lowest.

Easy, find the router make.
Go to the website and there might be a topic on there on how to do it, or send me the router make and I will try and either, do it for you (requires TeamViewer) or find you a post on a website that answers/fixes your enquiry.
