I was currently thinking of a MacBook Pro, it has a 2.2 Gghz Processor with about 2 Gigabytes of Ram (from what I've read) and 250 Gigs of memory. The cost is $1200, what do you guys think? Are there better laptops than this out there? I will be mostly using this for school and general surfing, watching videos online, and e-mail.

ya and macs arent that great as it is. for just school dont spend over 800

but if you want to start real hardcore gaming i would say an alienware laptop

For Gaming go for an Alienware laptop

Not just gaming, personal and I want a very reliable fast computer. That's why I'm thinking of the MacBook Pro.

Macbook pro is probably your best bet for all-round computing. Alienware is an overpriced laptop with nice lighting.

Im not an apple fanboy, but i know that macbooks are VERY reliable machines. They have decent graphics power, a good processor, and decent storage, and up to 8GB of ram. And if you dont like MAC OSX, then just install windows, as any other laptop you get wil be LOADED with bloatware (useless advertisement software).
