My mic on the headset works but it's really crackly and laggy. I went to Recording-Properties and then Advanced, switched the Default Format to "2 channel, 16 bit, 8000Hz (Telephone Quality)". I turn on Listen to this device to test it and it sometimes works but I have to go setting to setting and then once I pick it up I have to turn off Listen to this device and then click apply then keep the Sound window open or otherwise it doesn't work. When the 2 channel, 16 bit, 8000Hz (Telephone Quality) picks up it sounds crystal clear and it works in game, Therefore I know the mic isn't broken.

Can someone please help me fix this Microphone so it just stays working.

(The mic is not USB it's just jacks)\
My controller information is
Creative SB Audigy 2 ZS (WDM)
and it's updated.
