i was just wondering if my computer if able to play games, ive played a few games but theyre kinda laggy (assassins creed 1 and DiRT 2) i dont know if its my processor, RAM or Graphics card and i was just wondering if you guys could help me out...

Heres my specs:

Windows 7 Ultimate (32 bit)
AMD Athlon 64 (x2) Dual Core, 5200+ 2.70Ghz
3GB RAM
nVidia 8400gs graphics card (going to buy a new one)

Get new g card....around in the 200 series for Nvidia but since your running AMD CPU it would be best to invest into a ATI 5000 series card for better performance, but its your choice

You have a decent pc to run games med/high with a new g card with at lease 700+mb for memory and between ddr3-gddr5 for the best speed for the memory

ive found a graphics card, its the ATi Radeon 5450 PowerColour/Saver...

is this one that will allow me to run games smoothly?

That im not sure. Im not real familiar with ATI cause I never use AMD. Im always Intel and Nvidia. Give me the link and I could check it out, and read up on it

the 5450 isnt really powerful at all, most people use them in HTPC's (PC's mainly used for media purposes such as movies and music) But i wouldnt go for anything very powerful seeing as your processor could be a potential bottleneck.
