Its more of a personal preference. What's your budget so I can check some others. Like mine Happy. Dell XPS, intel(R) Core(TM) i7CPU Q740 @ 1.73GHz 1.73 GHz, 500 GB HDD, 6 GB Ram, Windows 7 (64 bit), 14 in. screen., High graphics card, backlight keyboard, pretty good speakers. It cost around $1300-$1500. Its fast as hell.

That may have costed $1300 2 years ago...

My setup is a dell core 2quad one at 2.33 ghz one at 2.34 ghz, dual hard drives averaging out to 1.14 TB, and 8gb ram came out to UNDER $1,000

Personally I don't trust AMD and walmart is a cheap option yes but look at good brands like the dell you are looking, with intel processors at best buy or even costco, that is where I bought my laptop. If you absoulutely have to get a desktop lookYou must login or register to view this content. and you get a lot more from this computer. If you dont have to get a desktop you can get a lot more hardware on 17inch screen for a lesser price. Like You must login or register to view this content. is a great snag at 600$

If you want to save money, but still have quality PC, I recommend you buying a custom one yourself. It's not that hard to build one, since I could build one in 1-2hrs (Low-Mid end computer)
