take it apart and make sure the hard drive is connected all the way..

Maybe ur ps has a virus! try in anther pc.

have you tried to take it apart to make sure the connector is in the hard drive all the way? i have had a older western digital hard drive do this and a Iomego hard drive to that to me. it would recognize that i plug in the hard drive but it wouldnt do anything after that.

it has re allocated sectors or something. is this what yours said?

put it in the microwave for a couple of seconds. then it wont be frozen anymore.
