sony vegas lags to much for me and crashes a lot

every program i try hasnt worked i have tried vegas, pinnicle studios 14 HD and cyberlink and all of them crash when i try to load my vid. my recorded vids are from an hd pvr if that helps and they are in 1080i

That sounds like some problem with your PC.

Adobe After effects is the best program to use debatably for Video editing.
Like any form of proffesional editing it is recomended to use multiple programs.
If you want a good montage learn about video editing indepth or ask an experienced member for help. With Video editing a computer needs a powerful CPU and a decent amount of ram to be able to render the video with decent speed.

i use vegas pro 10 and adobe after effects cs5 but im still learning
