Post: Laptop question +93 rep

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Alright, so I have a shitty dell laptop, and I seem to have misplaced my power supply, and the computers input is 19.5 volts, and a friend of mine has a power supply that is 18.5 volts and I'm just wondering if this will make a difference? I don't want to damage the computer in any way so I wanted to find out before trying it. Please only answer if you're completely positive, not if you're just guessing. +93 rep for the first person with a valid response.

If it fits into the slot and is below the volts thats maximum. It will be alright, just take longer to charge.

Hope this helps

This would mean your laptop input can handle up to 19.5v, your friends is less so it shouldn't be a problem.
