(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I am getting a new computer and im wondering if i should build it or just buy one.

My budget is $800 but i might be able to push it to $900

I want it to be able to run programs like cinema 4d, adobe after effects, sony vegas, and minecraft smoothly.

Can someone help me find the parts or point me in the right direction?

I chose the 730 watt because it seemed decent for the price, and looked pretty cool. Just to be safe, I try to stick with 700W+. It's up to you, but I'd go with at least 650.

As for the CPU, Intel is great if you have the money for it, AMD is a budget PC sort-of-thing. Not to say AMDs are bad, because that's not the case at hand at all, AMDs are great, but it depends on personal preference.

If you want and Intel i5, go with that. (You seem to have the right budget for it.) ^_^ In some ways, Intels are better than AMDs, and in some ways AMDs are better than Intels.

Also, the Motherboard I chose is AMD specific, so I'll find you a new Intel/Intel combo, and see if I have to fix anything else.

This should work:

I could be wrong, but this seems a bit more pricy.

The AMD is a quad-core, but the Intel is dual-core. >_<

I'm not too savvy with Intel to be honest, if you're set on it, I'm sure someone on here knows a good bit about em'. xD Sorry.

i cant thank you enough for this it has saved me so much time and money. i am going to get the intel i5 750(not 650) which is quad core and i have an old case so that saves me an extra $130 and i am going with a much smaller HDD because i already have a 300gb external.

Meh, I like most of it, but the graphics card seems a bit slower than the one I suggested. Otherwise, great build! I'd consider this one, too.

PSU is not big enough, and for after effects getting 8gb is a way better choice. Should go with a P55 Mobo instead of that entry h55 and i wouldnt recommend to use a generic HP or dell case if thats what you got. it'll just be a pain in the ass

Like Teh Madmen said, the power supply may be a bit under what you need. I mean, it's worth a shot if you want, but I'd suggest putting a few more bucks towards a better one. Everything else should work well, though. ^_^

And don't forget, even though you're starting out with 4GB of RAM, you could always upgrade to 8GB if you need. Everything else seems pretty solid.

Also, glad you could afford a high-end graphics card in the end, it's quite worth the money if you use it often and correctly.
