(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Alright guys, if you are reading this, I was in your position too. I used to use the built in mic on my laptop, and quality sucked. Today, my friend suggested I use my Rockband 1 mic for commentary.

Source? Check description of the video.

OMFG, quality is so freaking good! It sounds like a Turtle Beach mic or the Blue Snowball. If you don't have a Rockband mic, you can buy one from Amazon for cheap.

Here are the settings I use on Audacity:

Make sure your microphone is set to Logitech USB Microphone, otherwise it won't work.

Input Channel: 2 (Stereo Input)

Project Rate (Hz): 44100 (Defualt)

Microphone Level: If I am talking quietly, I put it on 1.0; if I talk normaly, I set it to 0.5.

If your Mic Level is on 1.0, don't put it too close to your face, or P's will sound aggressive.

If you have any questions don't be afraid to PM me! Happy

I'm thinking of getting one of those filters that come with expensive mic's because it always pics up the wind and my breath on the 720's (I'm a mouth breather).

I use a $6 Logitech mic and just use noise removal in Audacity, it sounds awesome.
