(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hi, I have a 2008 Computer which is running XP SP3.

It has Intel Acceleron 2.9GHz, 2.8GHz CPU (it reads like that) and 196mb RAM.

I desperatly need the PC to run without slowing down when many processes occur. How can I boost it's stats for free.

PS: It occasionally gets the BSOD irql_not_equal_or_less error.

Any helpful suggestions welcome!

196MB of RAM?!

Buy a new computer. That's my suggestion. Either you got ripped off, or you hardware is terribly failing. 196MB of RAM is like... the 90's standard.

By the time your hardware is fixed and your PC is back up to speed, you'll be shelling out the same amount that you would for a new computer.

I got a Vista, but it feels like I
need to get this PC back up again.

Get a new build w/ Windows 7. It'll turn out cheaper and more worth the money.

Sorry to be pedantic, but there must be a way?

You can't get something for nothing, sorry to say.

Do you happen to know the motherboard model? Depending on the model, it would probably be better to just get a whole new computer. If it's a decent motherboard, you could buy a decent amount of ram for $50 or less.
