(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Ive noticed a few people wondering if they had a vires, or some saying that they have one that they cant get rid of. I HAVE noticed lots of users getting into rats. so i thought this would help. What this tutorial is, is showing you how to remove a virus, via Ubuntu OS.

Ubuntu can be booted from a CD/DVD without installing this is perfect for someone who doesn't want to boot Windows in case it gives the virus a good opportunity to corrupt your OS.
Use Ubuntu Anti Virus to scan your Windows Partition for Viruses since windows isn't being used the Virus wont do it anymore harm.

Now to do this you;
1.Create a boot CD or usb (i use CD)

2. Boot your Ubuntu CD

3. Go to System then administrator then software sources in the tab that says Ubuntu Software make sure all five boxes are ticked then click close and reload. Ubuntu should download all the software packages you need.
Once that is done.

4. Go to Aplications then acessories then Open up Terminal

5. Type in sudo apt-get install clamtk
Type Y to continue with the install
After that is done

6. Go to aplications then system tools and Clam should be there.
When Clam is running click file reccursive scan and choose your windows Partition and it will scan for Viruses. After its done it will give you options for Quarantining or removing Smile

I hope this little tutorial helped Smile i will add images shortly

There are such things as rouge viruses and rogue antivirus software that wont allow you to access anything, with this method, you can remove the virus because it is a windows vires, not an ubuntu virus.. wait.. i forgot, ther isnt any ubuntu viruses :carling:
