All you need to run a .exe on linux, is wine. wine is a well, .exe booter for linux, simple as that, as well as you need the .exe program you wish to use.
*NOTE: THIS DOESNT WORK WITH ALL .EXE'S!

First, we need to install wine.

Go to your Linux software download tool, whichever it may be (it is different on some of them) and search for wine. You will be given a few things. Just choose the one with the most ratings, as it is the correct one.
Now let that download and install. There! That parts done!

Download whatever .exe it is you wish to use and place it on your desktop. Right click on the .exe, and choose the bottom most option, usually properties or permissions.
Now navigate through the tabs until you find the option "Bootable" or something of the sort. Check the box, and apply.

Now that everything is set up, all you have to do is double click on the .exe and bam, it should work! IF by chance it doesnt, right click on it, and choose run with wine. etc.

I could never get wine to work with programs except for like "notepad" or something
