This is a really awesome thing to do with firefox, especially if you're using a netbook/laptop with a small screen.
This puts the tabs in the menu bar at all times, saving space so it doesnt need a bar of it's own, just move the icons it had near it up also and it ends up saving a lot of space.
First off you're going to want to get the firefox extension stylish, this is an addon to use CSS stylesheets on any pages, but in this case it's used to manipulate the firefox UI and move where the tabs are. You can get it at

Next you're going to want to download this CSS style-sheet -
You must login or register to view this content. just save it anywhere, or if it doesnt prompt you to save it just press ctrl + a and copy all the text. If you've saved it just open it and copy all the text.
After doing that go to the firefox addons menu then click preferences in the column for stylish.
Then go to write new style, put title and tags as anything then paste it in the style-sheet you copied from earlier and voila tabs will now be in the menubar.
This can be disabled and re-enabled at any time.
As you can see from the picture below which is my UI setup on my netbook, which is just this and some stuff moved around it works well.
