Post: COD4 on Ubuntu!

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Well I downloaded a COD4 Torrent and there are a bunch of patches in the folder. 1.1 thru 1.7 and I don't know what to do!Sad Awesome Help me!:embarrassed:

First of all you need the disc, or a downloaded version. Then you need to install PlayOnLinux. And that will install and play just about any game. I dont think you can play the game with just patches though.

You just need to go to the Ubuntu Software center, and search PlayOnLinux, then search COD4 on the program, then direct the program to your above files! Should work fine, i got COD4 to work on Ubuntu

Playonlinux should be in the software center if i remember right...

PlayOnLinux isn't in the software center. :| Heres the terminal cmd to install POL:

For the Natty version Type the following commands:
    wget -q "https://deb.playonlinux.com/public.gpg" -O- | sudo apt-key add -
sudo wget https://deb.playonlinux.com/playonlinux_natty.list -O /etc/apt/sources.list.d/playonlinux.list
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install playonlinux


For the Maverick version Type the following commands:
    wget -q "https://deb.playonlinux.com/public.gpg" -O- | sudo apt-key add -
sudo wget [URL]https://deb.playonlinux.com/playonlinux_maverick.list[/URL] -O /etc/apt/sources.list.d/playonlinux.list
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install playonlinux

For the Lucid version Type the following commands:
    wget -q "https://deb.playonlinux.com/public.gpg" -O- | sudo apt-key add -

You have to install it using wine, even then I don't think it will work. Also make sure your graphics card drivers are installed..
