2. Have you considered using Linux? If so, why? If not, why not? I have, I am using it, I use it because it provides and great development environment and is very fast.

I already use it on a regular basis. It's quick, capable, and all-around better for every day things than Windows or Mac OSX are.

No. Mac OSX is too simplistic, and far less capable of doing things beyond playing a few games, using graphics design/video editing programs and running Microsoft Word. I just have no use to it. With Linux-based operating systems, I'd definitely be up to trying them.

I currently use Ubuntu, and honestly haven't tried Fedora or anything.

The ability to get more than a few things done (I want my OS to be elaborate, and not simple), speed, stability, etc.

2 and 1/2. I'm not a programmer or anything, but I know how to do many more things than a typical PC/Mac user would.

I'm a web programmer/ graphics designer, in school of course.

Games. Not so much during the school year, it flips over to PhotoShop and other programs related to graphics design.

Its compatibility, because Windows can do basically anything a computer should be able to do in modern times. I don't think there is one feature of a Mac that isn't in some way on a PC. Still, I don't see how one could be "better" than the other.

What are your least favorite?

It's $200 if you want end-user support from Microsoft and ease of installation.

I use it for gaming most of the time.

I use Windows 7 or Debian (on the rare occasion).
I have considered using Linux, and I have used it before. I like it, but for general maximum compatibility with programs (and the ability to develop in .NET), I mostly use Windows.
I currently use Windows.
I have considered (and used) FreeBSD but I didn't like it much.
My favorite distribution is Debian, although my close second is Gentoo.
I look for speed and compatibility.

Power/compatibility, but speed as well.
I'm a semi-professional developer.
I use Google Chrome the most (because I enjoy surfing the Internet), but otherwise, I use Nano a lot.
My favorite aspect of Windows is its compatibility with certain files.
My least favorite is how virus-laden it can be.
I chose it because it came preinstalled on my computer, and I need it forschool.
