Post: No more dual boot?

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I was reading the hacker new magazine issue 5 of october 2011, and they were talking about some of the new features in windows 8 the main one that caught my eye was:

"Windows 8 is going to screw Linux by preventing Linux
dual boots and installs. Unified Extensible Firmware Interface (UEFI)
firmware specifications would mean PCs would only boot from a digitally
signed image derived from a keychain rooted in keys built into the
PC. Microsoft is pushing to make this mandatory in a move that could
not be overridden by users"

So whats your opinion on this subject?

Do a barrel roll!
It won't even let you boot into Windows 7 without going through 8.

ROLL TIDE!!!
Won't happen. They can't stop you from installing another OS. When you install linux it installs grub, and removes(i think) mbr.
If windows was to prevent you from un-installing mbr. that would be illegal.
So I wouldn't worry about this. It will never happen.

First off to buy a new laptop you may want to go to a store.
Second, start typing sentences so that others can comprehend them. The one you posted was hard to understand.
