(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hey guys, Just a few quick questions, and first, I'm not a complete noob, I've installed ubuntu 10.1 before, But
I got a new computer, which is a lenovo, its got the boot optimizer, fingerprint scanner, and more of the standard Lenovo™ Features.
Would this effect the installation of Ubuntu 11.1?

im not sure, because i myself dont have that, im sure if you install linux there will be drivers to be able to use the scanner etc. But otherwise, if you just install it normally i dont think there would be a problem, just if you would like to use the added features you would have to see about drivers

it sounds like the same one i have, i tried dual booting windows 7 with osx lion and i wasnt able to cause of too many partitions, most of them being lenovo partitions, if you just want to install it and not use windows, then maybe, all depends on the specs.

One of the problems you might run into is if you don't have an Intel CPU OSX Lion won't work. But If your computer is new it should be able to run any version of linux. I have a laptop from around 2007, and I can run about every version of Linux
