Alright, So I want to buy a HDPVR this week or next week and im trying to figure out what all i need to get it to work with a Mac.
I want to get the Gaming Edition One. You must login or register to view this content.
I heard that i needed to get HDPVR Capture or Eye TV 3 to be able to record. Is there anything else i might need?

EDIT: Will be upgrading to 8GB Memory.

2GB memory aint enough u need 8gb
and iMovie or Adobe After effects should work wit it as long as u have the write drivers

I got a Macbook 13 in (mid 2010)..so most i can get is 4GB i believe. Unless theres a way to get more memory?

4gb dd3 should be enough for simple editing

You dont need 8gb 4gb is fine Tejbz has a 4 gb iMac and he posts videos almost everyday, look here is his channek You must login or register to view this content.

Alright, thats good to know. Do you know if i need anything else besides the Programs Eye TV or HDPVR Capture?

No you dont need anything else just upgrade to 4gb and you should be fine.

Ive looked up information and people say that if your using a Mac you need either one of those programs to record.

4Gb is fine, and also i dont know about the prices but the only thing different about the pvr gaming edit appose to the normal pvr is that it comes with a green light and 1 extra component cable, which you you can get for a fiver so unless theyre the same price id go for the normal pvr

Also To record you need either Eyetv or hdpvr Record. eyetv im my opinion is better, but i do not know of any other mac hdpvr recording software
