There are many cons to having a desktop processors in a Laptop. The desktop processor requires more power so there will be a shorter battery life. It also will add more weight and be louder. The main issue is over heating problems. You would most likely need an external cooling device because they produce so much heat. I also noticed the Ibuypower didn't have a regular hdd which you would defiantly need.

ASUS and MSI make great gaming laptops.

I'm not worried bout the HDD space, As I will be taking out the cd drive and placing a hard drive in its place. I will not be going with the desktop processor but I still am thinking on what to buy. I'm gonna wait untill Febuarry to see what Apple's new line-up is.

Thanks.

Fun Fact: Go with a processor that has atleast 3 Ghz if you're gonna be PC gaming because my laptop has a Nvidia Geforce 8400 MS but a 2.0 Ghz processor which sucks.
I'd go with atleast 3 Gb or RAM, HDSad Awesome Above 235 GB (Why 235, Don't ask me, It's the first number that popped into my head)

Do a barrel roll!
I highly recommend that whatever you may decide to do, do not get an Apple. You said it yourself. Overpriced.

Hmm it sucks gaming on laptop. If I was you I would continue to build my own PC for your gaming. And go with like a 600usd laptop just for your college stuff
