Hey, I've been reading online for the past couple hours, and it hasn't done anything but confuse me more. What I'm trying to do is get my computer screen on my tv.

I have a male VGA cable in my computer, but there is no VGA port for my TV. I tried looking at VGA to HDMI cables because I have alot of HDMI ports on my 40" Emerson flat screen TV, but I couldn't figure out if I would need a converter to use that cable.

I was reading the manual for the TV, and the only thing I see remotely close to what I'm trying to do is S-video. Would this be my only option for this TV, and if not what else could I possibly use?

Someone please let me know the best suggestion for this problem!
100k vBux to anyone who can answer all my questions for me!

Thanks for any help or suggestions. Winky Winky
Happy holidays!

your computer has a blue input cable from the tower to the moniter, unplug it from your monitar and plug it into your tv.
ill look for a more in depth tutorial.

if you don't have that then there is no way you can put it one your tv.

Please go away, you're trying to tell me what I can and can't do when it's obvious you know less than me.

Obviously I have a VGA cable or else I wouldn't be able to see the screen I'm sitting in front of right now.
Secondly, there are many ways for me to get it to show on my TV w/o having a VGA port on my TV. I'm trying to figure out the best one, and what all I would need for it to work.

Please don't give suggestions if you have no clue what you're talking about. No

Yeah, I was looking at those, but I think I would need a converter box to use it from a computer to a TV.

You mean your computer monitor? That's what you said last post not your tv.
It's different because the outputs from computers and TV's aren't always similar, which is why I have no clue if I need a converter box.
