Messing with all of this generally keeps everything fudged up. I'm not sure of anything other than reformatting again.

By the way, you can just download Vista or Win 7 from piratebay and install and run an activator, it's what I have on my junk computer.

One problem, i cant Run anything better because my computer is an absolute piece of crap, 768mb of ram doesnt do any good on xp though

Sir, I am running 512mb with vista home premium. I have about the same amount of issues with this as I would with XP but my computer actually starts up every time with this loaded.
