(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Okay so for me i go back to school tomorrow and i procrastinated as usual to do my homework. My hw entails that i answer 10 questions about the renaissance. Now this hw is obviously really easy, the questions are very "googleable" But the only problem i come accross is correctly spelling 'renaissance'. To me its spelled in a weird manor and not too big but it takes some work to type. But i found this really cool thing in word that allows you to take super shortcuts when it comes to spelling. (Maybe you know about this but im sure many dont)

Pretty much im going to show you how to abbreviate words and have word auto write them. For example, i type "ren" then word will auto type "renaissance". You can also choose which letters are capital.
So here is a picture tut:

I think you need at least word 07 to do this, i think im on word 2010 or whatever the latest version is.

WARNING:LIKE MANY SHORTCUTS THIS MAY MAKE YOU SLIGHTLY DUMBER!

1. Misspell anything in word or type random letters then hit spacebar:
You must login or register to view this content.
You should get a red bar under it as usual

2.Right click it and go to "Auto Correct Options"
(Cant take a picture of it, screen snapper wont allow me to have a right-click menu out and take pictures at the same time, but it should be right under "ADD TO DICTIONARY")

3. Then this should pop up:
You must login or register to view this content.

4.Under the "Replace text as you type" put any desired abbreviation or even single letter in the "Replace" box. Then put the correctly spelled word in the "With" box. I used "Ren" for the replacement for "Renaissance":
You must login or register to view this content.
5. Hit ok when you are ready and remember you can fex the upper case and lower case if needed.

6. type in your abbreviation, for me its "ren" and once you hit space to move on it will auto write "Renaissance" Smile

This would be greta for you crazy texters out there who tend to accidentally write things like "u" and "y". Now you can make it so when you make those mistakes word auto writes "u" to be "YOU" and "y" to be "why".

[BONUS]You can even do more to this like instead of writing out certain COMMON phrases such as "and then" " you could change it to "a t"

UPDATE:
It also works with repeat words, so if you enter "to to" in the replace section and replace it with "to" it will auto delete one "to"
