please suggest other brands of SSDs that are fairly quick and not too expensive.

The crucial M4 line of SSD's are definitely the most reliable SSD's around. As for speed, there's plenty of good brands for that. Just to name a few: OCZ, CORSAIR, Intel, Kingston, Patriot.

Yeah I've seen quite a few cheap OCZ brand SSDs, but I've heard they are not very reliable.

Worth the Weight
I have a 120GB Vertex III SSD, sometimes it can be hit and miss, but if worse comes to worse you could still return it. Mine has been working fine with absolutely no problems, gives a 7.9 on Windows Experience Index too. 10 second boot time too. But the SSD that you have listed above is probably slightly better in terms of reliability. And cheaper.

Thanks for you input, By the way your system specs are pretty good which HDD do you currently have though?

WD Black Caviar 7200RPM w/ 64MB of cache.

But my boot drive is my SSD.

Sorry for such a late reply but i have an OCZ in my computer and its the fastest i have seen

OCZ does boast slightly higher transfer rates than Crucial M4s, but they are not very reliable.
There is lots of cases of them breaking soon after purchase.
I have a Crucial M4 as my OS Drive, and a Seagate 1TB 7200RPM as my Main Drive.
