Veni. Vidi. Vici.
Dont upgrade anything but a video card that fits with your motherboard and ram. Nuff said.

Never mind buy the i5 along with the video card and ram.

No problem with rams but the processor should be changed and the one u listed in amazon is pretty good to play BF3 at least Medium and recommend this graphic card : You must login or register to view this content.

I don't see the point in spending £50 on a GPU that will barely run the game and that will need to be upgraded very soon.
Get the CPU, definetly. Best CPU to get on a budget at the moment, but wait until you get more money to buy a GPU.
I suggest this GPU: You must login or register to view this content.

NONONOO.

Stop.

Your Motherboard is socket 775 (I know because of your CPU)

I'm sorry to say but you can't do too many upgrades on this PC without upgrading the PSU and Motherboard.

Motherboard: $60 You must login or register to view this content.

And the i5 2500k

YOU CANNOT I REPEAT CANNOT PUT A i5 2500k ON YOUR MOTHERBOARD. IT WILL NOT WORK.

A better solution would probably be to go AMD. I know, sucks, but it's going to shave you 60-80 at least.

After CPU Upgrade:

RAM: $35 You must login or register to view this content.

PSU (You'll probably need it):

You must login or register to view this content.

GPU: Well, I tried my best, it went a over budget, but when you have the money, buy a 460 or a 6870.
