(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); my computer will not read blanks but when i put a disk that has somthing on it it will read it just fine can someone help me it use to read blanks all the time but now it wont

First off, /facepalm .

A computer does not simply read blanks. That's the reason its not being read. Because there is nothing on it.
If you want to be certain, go buy some blank CD's and put them in. But I guarantee there is nothing wrong with your machine.

^ What are you talking about. Every PC reads blank CD's. I think he means that when he puts the blank CD in his computer the CD icon under My Computer for the CD doesn't appear, which does not allow him to transfer data on to it so that it can be read.

Although the fact that you can't read blank CD's but you can read CD's that have things on them is stupid. When you insert a blank CD into windows it tells you that you need to format it (usually) in order for it to work.

I'll have to correct you there. On most computers a window, icon or something will open once you put a blank disc in it and ask what you'd like to do with it.

You should be able to see that you have a disc in, but no information. Depending on what type of a reader you have, you may or may not have the option to burn information onto the disk.
