Worth the Weight
I've tried many.

Fraps
Camtasia
Cam Studio
Dxtory
MSI Afterburner (Recoring)

Honestly they all have something that they need to improve on. Cam Studio and Dxtory I found impossible to use. The video that was given back to me was running at around 5 FPS while Cam Studio wouldn't even open unless I installed VLC Media player, even then it would be very laggy.

Fraps is fucking annoying. They split the files up into billions of small 1 minute clips, but the quality is good. Camtasia is great, but it uses up a lot of system resources (Not that I'm complaining I have a 2k rig, but still)

So in the end, Fraps and Camtasia are the only 2 I tolerate. Not to say they are the best.

Well I worked with Fraps for a while, and it is good but the file sizes are massive so you need to convert it for uploading to YouTube. However, recently I've been using Bandicam, which records good quality and compresses it for you so you don't need to convert it.

Both good. Smile

Same as the previous guy:

Fraps for recording gameplay .

Cam studio for recording the pc .

But Fraps makes really big videos, to compress them I use VirtualDub.
