Is your format in the recording settings set to best??

If you still dont know how to fix your problem, what i would do is get song vegas and render it so i know its going to be a high quality when i upload it to youtube

Everything is exactly as it was before, however my dad put the tv in a different setting, but I changed it back.

You should try upgrading to the latest drivers from the hauppauge site. That could be your problem, also check your settings.

Who dares, wins.
I'm assuming you are rendering the video after being edited? If this is the case, make sure you output the format to 1080/720 or your preferred output.
