(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hey guys this is going to be a quick thread that I will be posting, essentially I am looking at a monitor for my desktop and I have not been 100% successful, but I am currently looking at the following monitor.

I'm not sure exactly as I will be sitting at a desk and I am currently debating whether it's too large, I think not because I may want to double it up as a TV screen for movies and such.

Can anyone recommend me a good monitor that is 27 inches? Really no major budget just don't go overboard...

I would really like it to have both DVI and HDMI or HD Component as I MIGHT use this for my 2nd Ps3 so I could hock both my PC via DVI and my Ps3 via HDMI.

Please try to use any CANADIAN website, like newegg.CA or Tigerdirect.CA

Thanks.

EDIT: Found this one that has both DVI and HDMI, my question now is, are there 2 separate input channels? Like channel one and channel 2 so that I could use both at the same time and switch between one and the other similar to what you can do on an HDTV?

You should be able to switch between the inputs easily. I assume most monitors work that way. I used to have a PS3 connected on HDMI, and the computer connected to the DVI. Then simply switched between the inputs.

But I think a 24" will be just as fine as a 27". Often the response time is quicker and the resolution is the same(1920x1080), so a 24" monitor will be less stretched out.

Well 2ms response time is already pretty much the best. Honestly I don't think I would be able to play Ps3 on a 24" monitor, it's just too small for me.

Not if you sit right in front of it.
I have a 22" monitor and I rather connect the consoles to that and play it than sit a few feet away and play it on a 32".

I see what you mean, I'll do some experimentation while sitting right in front of it and see how it works. I am currently hooked up to a 46 incher which BF3 looks stunning on, but that's huge! I mean it's nice to have the screen size but not very space saving!

Currently the 27 incher is still where I stand, I went to Best Buy a few days ago and used the 27" iMacs and I thought the screen was just perfect, maybe I would go 26" if those really exist.

I'd just like to point something out. My buddies PC, which he build in November of last year, has a 21" monitor at 2048x1152. Any games on his computer look amazing, like BF3 at 90FPS, Portal 2 at 150FPS, Arkam City at 120FPS, and Minecraft Upside Down Happyp) at 350FPS, all on highest settings. We sat a little ways away from the screen and it was perfectly fine. I'd see no reason why a 21" wouldn't work for a PS3. If you wanted bigger, however, you shouldn't get much bigger than a 24" screen. As for the dual input question, it looks like it should be fine for multiple inputs.
