Problem with Alienware is customization and parts, if you need a replacement for something, expect big bucks alone where as you can find something a lot easier to put back in if it was Intel or AMD.

It's cheaper to just look up the specs for Alienware and then custom build one that matches or is even better for less, what you are paying for with Alienware is the name brand, the led lights and the extra fancy crap, everything else is just regular hardware that is good.
You can get a great case at times for about 79.99 with a great power supply or motherboard at times, (My dad bought one not long ago, got the case and motherboard for about 90 bucks, original cost was about 250. They were selling out of the item as they were getting a whole new line in of cases)
I was referring to the laptops. For desktops obviously no one should buy Alienware.
