whoever told you not to is crazy thats a awesome case for the $

False, if I'd overclock the 690 it would be the same performance as two 680's at lower power and less noise.
But it's true that getting two 670 will cost me less money with almost the same performance.
I decided to get an Alienware with a GTX 590 and replace the 590 with a new card later on or next year, even though I'm still not sure about it yet.

Before you go ranting bout Alienware, I have a sweet deal that will make me a 200€ profit (compared to custom built).

Yup exactly, but I think the 'GTX 780' will have as much power if not more than the GTX 590 and it will use alot less power, plus I'll be able to still get €250-€350 for the card itself meaning the 'GTX 780' would cost me around €200-300 Smile or I'll just get two haha.

Well at the moment the 590 is only a little bit more powerful than a 680, providing only a few frames more than the 680 in BF3 and the 680 actually pulls ahead of the 590 in some tests. In Crysis: Warhead the frames margin is about 10frames, while in almost every other benchmarking game it was under 5frames which doesn't justify the extra 400euro price tag on the card. Not too mention how much better the 680 performs with DX11 and how it uses half the power of the 590 and runs cooler.
