Then you can either go for an i5 2500k Sandy Bridge, or the slightly better i5 3550k which is about 20euro more expensive.
However overheating is a slight problem for Ivy Bridge CPUs so make sure you have a good CPU cooler.

Looks great, but you don't need to spend that much on the motherboard.
Do you plan on getting dual cards in the future? If not, you would be fine with a 100$ Z68 board.

It's absolute shit :dumb:

seriously why make these threads? It's amazing m8, I think you know but just want to show it off.

as for storage... I have kinda like you do. Honstly you don't really need more than 120gb's unless you're downloading movies + songs like crazy. I have like 1,000,000 programs, 6 movies, and like 300 songs and I only use up like 80gb's.

Get a Z77 board. Not all Z68 boards support Ivy Bridge, and most don't support PCIE 3.0 The ones that do are not as great as the standard Z77 boards.

Personally I'd only go with Asus if you are going with their high end boards. Other than that they are pretty loose on customer support. Gigabyte has a great record for me and I find them to be the most stable, however overclocking is easier on Asus boards.

Both are great though.

Except that this is clearly a gaming build and you will tear through that 120GB's in just a few games with most taking anywhere from 9 -12GB's a piece

Anyways my 2 cents.

AMD FX series was pretty bad, but since you have it stick with it, really no point in blowing more money. (Or just turn it into a server XP they actually perform really well in that department)
