Story:
So I was on windows 8 release preview, had all my things on there e.g pictures, phone back up etc.
Then one day I decided to go back to windows 7 without backing anything up.
I deleted all partitions and remade a new one and installed windows 7 to it
After installing 7, that's when I remembered that I forgot to back up my data

Can you guys please help me recover my important files? It's very urgent or am I screwed?

Bottom Line: I want my windows 8 partition back so I can get the data from it!

I'm pretty sure since you did a full reformat and a new partition you can't get it back,I would say you are screwed

I highly doubt you will get it back, try You must login or register to view this content. from piriform creators of CCleaner, no guarantee it will work. The BD data can be fucked with so many times to allow recovery. If it was possible to get the data back after a few wipe outs to linux, windows, linux etc then that would be awesome, I use to have some files from sonys ps3 servers I was able to retrieve and it worked with the PPC compiler etc I ended up deleting it ;(

The data is not actually lost. The Data is never TRULY lost from ANY drive unless it is simply destroyed. Your best bet is to ditch the software, and go to a professional.

When you delete/format/do whatever, the space is simply marked as empty, so if you're lucky and nothing wrote over those sectors, you should still be good to go. Unfortunately, there will be some un-recoverable data. Downloading things etc. really only makes it worse.

If the data was truly precious and you really need it, go to a professional.
