Would be great if someone could answer this for me, PLEASE.

I have a mac but it doesn't have wireless capability and it's too far away to connect to my router via ethernet cable.
So I connected it to my PS3 via ethernet... hoping I could use the internet through the ps3, as it has wifi and is connected to the network?

Anyone know if this is possible? If so, what do i need to do?

Many thanks,

Bryce

You will not be able to share the PS3's Wi-Fi internet connection with your Mac. The PS3 doesn't have the same software capabilities of a PC/Mac so it cannot output its Wi-Fi connection via its ethernet port.

I suggest getting a USB Wi-Fi adaptor for your Mac as they are very inexpensive.
