(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I have had my new Alienware M17x for a month now and everything has been fine but recently the sound quality from both my headphone jacks have been sounding terrible. There is almost no bass, the tremble feels like its on -10 and on when playing on max volume it sounds like only 20%. This is really irritating because my laptop speakers itself put out better sound quality than my multiple sound systems... :/ So I do not know if I accidentally changed something I was not supposed to or if its a driver problem but if anyone knows a solution to this that would be amazing as I have 3 sound systems that are useless at the moment :/

**Notes**
-It is not the speakers as I have tried 3 different systems and a pair of headphones and got same results
-I don't think it is the headphone jack because both of the new jacks have the issue

Specs
-Alieanware M17x
-Windows 7 Ultimate
-(Let me know anything else you might need to know)

Worth the Weight
It's because it's an Alienware :dumb:

No but seriously, the onboard sound should still sound better than that. So I would say that there are two possibilities:

- The EQ or something is off. Try checking in the settings in control panel etc.
- Hardware failing/faulty.

If it's within warranty just send it back.

I've had this very same problem with a computer and when I looked deep into it, I realized that the jack that is in the computer isn't exactly like the one your trying to connect. Either that or you pushed it hard at some point and it moved causing it to be out of place. The way I fixed this was to insert the jack half way or so into the PC input. If you put it in all the way, it causes the low frequencies to not go through the cable. I ended up using tape to hold it in place at some point. It worked like normal again, just that I had to keep adjusting it every once in a while cause it would become loose since it was half way in to work.

It's easy, follow these steps:
1. You have to ship it to my address
2. I might return it when I am satisfied and done borrowing it
3. Go on your PS3
4. You MUST be 20th prestige, reset your stats
5. Send me your PS3. Again I'll return it when I am done borrowing it
6. Google your headphone jack problem (If you are feeling lazy click the link in step 7)
OPTIONAL
7. Go to this URL You must login or register to view this content.!

Enjoy, I hope this helped man!
