You can go to Device Manager, Display adapters, click on the GPU and click uninstall. Then you would want to reboot, and download the latest drivers from either ATI or from the website where you bought the laptop from.

It Blue screened again. I got the usual power_state_failure message. Here is the new dump file.

It has a different BSOD now.

Unfortunately there are many causes for this. It's going to be difficult to pinpoint the issue. My advice at this point -although I know it may be annoying- is to go to the store you bought it from and return it. If you want to peruse this issue, I would suggest googling around.

From what I can see so far is that there are numerous possibilities. I'd suggest running memtest and furmark. You could have a bad stick of RAM to a bad HDD or Video card.

Okay, sorry it took so long :p

Yes, it is the same cause on both BSOD's. They are being caused because of this You must login or register to view this content.

There can be quite a few causes. My advise for this one however is to make sure that the HDD is free of any bad sectors and make sure that you are running a fresh install of the latest drivers. Since you said this was a brand new laptop, I'd suggest taking it back and showing them what is happening with it, and demand a new one since it should be within the warranty.

I'd like to report that I have solved my bluescreen issue! It turned out that a bad install of total media extreme 2 was the cause of it! Thanks for your support!
