it use to be really fast when i first got it now its just ... crap!

when i open my browser it takes usually up to 10-15min just to load the internet, then to log in on ngu it takes around an additional 5 min

i have tried looking around and tried what some ppl suggested (mall-aware) or however you spell it

i think the problem is a virus but none of the programs are even detecting the virus so i dont know what to do? any ideas?

Also make sure that you are not auto loading programs at startup, that will eat memory. Look at the bottom right of the taskbar, there should only be a few items there. Msconfig will help unload the startup items, look under the startup, and sevices tabs. Under the services tab check the box labeled hide all ms services.

Ok this will make a difference im sure first reset your router look on the back usually there is a little hole this is the reset button get a pen or something and hold the button in for 15-20 seconds, this will reset your router back to default. Now once your router is back up click the windows button on your desktop and in the search bar type %temp% then click enter now this is all the temporay files you have they are just using memory so delete all the files in this folder ctrl+a then delete you may have some that wont delete this is fine just click skip on thoses ones. Next do a scan with (Malwarebytes You must login or register to view this content.) as someone has suggested already this will see if you have any viruses which could be slowing down your pc if any are found just remove them and re-start your pc. Ok so now you should download (Diskmax You must login or register to view this content.) this will clean your pc its what i use and i swear by it all these other so called pc cleaners just give you more problems as the change things in you registry that are not needed. Once diskmax is installed do a complete clean just answer yes to all the beeps that come up and it will remember this so you wont have to click them again next time. Ok now diskmax has finished finally do a defrag the windows built in defrager is fine just click windows again and in search type defrag and open disk defragmenter and analyze your drives then if needed defrag them once this is done restart your pc and you should see a difference i guarantee. You can also give your pc a static ip and use different dns servers this might help your browsing just search on google its pretty easy. Hope this helps you out let me know how you get on .

Advanced sistem care, Ccleaner,antivirus scan would help too

Problem should be solved.

I didnt read any comments but heres what i would do.

1- go to your start menu and type in "msconfig" without the " " and disable any un-need programs from starting up with the computer
2- Download CCleaner and do a registery scan
3-I would buy or "get" malewarebytespro (the full version) and do a full scan to be safe.
if none of this works backup any documents you want to save and restore that bitch.
