(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Computer keeps lagging, only way i know is because when listening to itunes or a youtube video the video or song will lag, and make a glitch type sound like it is trying to catch up to real time. I did a disk defragment, ran ccleaner and ran a virus scan using mcafee and it still does it. i am running windows 7 and my computer is a dell xps 8 gig of memory and 500gb free of 750gb on the hard drive. so i dont think it is a memory issue.

there are many dell xps's and your internet is most likely lagging not the computer if your computer freezes up then its the computer and any current xps is doubtful to lock up like that may be overpriced but their decent computers compared to other companies

try these tips:

  • update adobe flashplayer
  • update your browser
  • check if there are any windows, mac, etc updates available
  • and if nothing helps restore your laptop and before you do so, back up everything important on a usb

if your using windows 7 or 8 this automatically sets priority for the cpu to process the application so you never need to touch that
