Obviously it depends on what tasks you're going to be carrying out; for me in particular I'm obviously going to be gaming! But I will also be rendering, editing, programming and doing TONS of multi-tasking. I've asked this question on another forum and had a lot of mixed opinions, I'm more in favor of buying myself an i7 3770k but what do you guys think?

If you'll be doing a lot of video editing, the i7-3770k is a lot better. If not, then I'd actually recommend the AMD FX-8350. I've seen some very impressive gaming benchmarks and it's a little cheaper than the i5-3570k.
