(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hi guys I am this small question for my Uni course and I need some answers to which brand of Graphics Card you prefer to use.

I am running a questionnaire to find which brand of Graphics Cards are most used among the community, My personal choice is to use ATi/AMD over Nvidia, just because I have always used them and feel stable using them.

If you use the poll to tell me which you like to use and then if you want to leave a reply saying why, but that is optional.

SLI is the same a driver nightmare

I have not had a single problem with my liquid cooled 680's in SLI. To be fair though the only games I've played are battlefield 3 and a little black ops 2. I'm sure SLI is a nightmare for games that don't support it though. I can't really say much about crossfire but from what I heard crossfire has a lot of problems. I watch tek sydicate and Logan couldn't even get two AMD cards to run Crysis 2. If I only planned on a single GPU I would probably get a 7970 though.

Nvidia always has treated me good. All my computers have that in them and I never have any problems (knock on wood).

all things related to crossfire or sli is applications that are compatable with the gpu drivers it has nothing to do with amd or nvidia dont make it so, farcry 3 runs better on amd cause its been optimized for amd gpu's nvidia 680 gets outperformed easily in this game its all of whether the developer wants to put in time making it universally perform well on all system configs which anyone who owns a pc knows they do not

Worth the Weight
7970's scale better in crossfire from bencharks and have much more computational power for those of you Bitcoin miners.

Nvidia has much better rendering capabilities since it is running CUDA, and it also runs PhysX.

It depends on what you are doing on your machine. A 7970 on sale for $360 is a steal compared to $459 for the cheapest 680. I chose ATI only because they have better bang for the buck value and usually scale better using crossfire. But for anyone who is serious about their work, it's most likely a better choice to go down the Nvidia path.

I prefer a Nvidia because i have had one before haven't been around pc gaming that long but i had a EVGA 560TI and now i have a EVGA 660FTW and both run really well not saying ati cards don't just used to Nvidia based cards.

Red Team all day everyday! I choose AMD for many reasons, many of them being AMD cards have the best value, eyefinity, OpenCL, better overclocking, higher vram, and it mines bitcoins so much better than their Nvidia counterparts. And before anyone is ignorant enough to say Nvidia has better driver support I suggest you shut your fucking mouth. I've been using AMD/ATI cards for over 5 years, I've yet to have any problems thus far and I know at one point there were bad drivers but that has more than been resolved. The only reason I'd suggest Nvidia to someone is if they wanted to spend $600-$1000+ dollars on card(s), because that's the only price range where Nvidia takes the lead.
