Download this free version. if you feel like you do have issues, you should do a full scan in safe mode, when thats done, run it again in standard format. You must login or register to view this content.
That will take care of any virus you may have picked up.
The AVG pc tune up is actually very good, but it is for improving you speed and more a PC tune up program.

on mate, id do schedule a boot time scan and go to settings and click "move to chest" but do it over night as it can talk a while, also do a full pc check. HOPE This helped

If you have a virus re-install windows then use Microsoft Security Essentials, Malware Bytes and Common Sense 2013 to ensure nothing happens again. If you are just cleaning up old shit from appdata folders etc. then get CCleaner and use that. Never use and antivirus you have to pay for they're not worth it and are very bloated. Tune up utility programs are stupid don't use them or run them despite what others say the best thing you can do is have a fresh clean install of your OS.

do a full format on your hdd so it overwrites all the platers it will take hrs but its better then how windows fakes the format this will ensure its gone installing a new os like u stated doesnt insure its gone until you overwrite the data again, anti virus's only remove known virus's anyway not the best thing in the world helps if the op wasnt an idiot and got infected in the first place
