Other times i get the video but no audio.

If i put the raw footage in a player like windows media player it looks fine and sounds fine but only when i go to edit it something is fucked up about it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

What PVR? Have you tried sony vegas ?

I second the suggestion to try Sony Vegas. It sounds like Premiere Pro is the issue here, and if the clips work fine in Vegas that'd confirm it.

Reset pro to default settings might just be a setting you have turned on by mistake. If not then try vegas
