probably my favourite tool when it comes to pen testing. can be used with Backtrack 5 or as a standalone as a windows installer. Not only will it teach you the basics of Metasploit, it will help you develop skills that will be used later on. these skills might ot be straight foward hacking skills but be mindframe, thinking outside of the box to gain access to the box.
